Things to know
· Always keep your therapist up to date on your medical history and medications.  During pregnancy there are areas that should be avoided, let your therapist know if you are pregnant.
 
· If you have any concerns about massage being suitable for your specific health issues, please consult with your physician prior to your appointment.
 
· Heavy meals before a massage session should be avoided.
 
· It is best to drink plenty of water before and after your massage.
 
· A shower before your massage is a great way to relax (and your therapist will appreciate it too!)
 
· If you are running late, please call! You will be responsible for the full amount of your service even if your time is cut short due to lateness. IF YOU MUST CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT, PLEASE CALL 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE.  NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED THE FULL AMOUNT OF SERVICE.
  
· You are in control of each session. We are happy to make adjustments in pressure, temperature, music, etc. so that you can have the perfect session designed for your needs.  We do ask that you turn cel. phones off or put to silent mode.

 
 
There are a few heath conditions in which massage should be avoided:
¨ Within 48 to 72 hours after any injury
¨ When a fever, cold or flu symptoms are present
¨ Whenever there is an active skin condition such as shingles, impetigo, severe acne, open wounds or herpes (cold sore type) lesions, massage may not be indicated
